Tuesday Retiree Ride 12.5/Moderate/35

Welcome to the Tuesday Retiree Ride

About this Ride

The Tuesday Retiree Ride will be a recurring ride primarily as road rides but occasionally on rail trails. Even though this ride is geared towards retirees, all are welcome to attend. As the season progressed the ride start times have transitioned to mornings.

This ride is for moderate level riders who do not mind waiting at turns for others.  All riders should come expecting to WAIT AT TURNS.  We will keep rolling if we see everyone at the turns unless otherwise specified by the ride leader.  We will adhere to this policy as long as slower riders are adhering to the "expected pace" referenced in the ride classification above.  Before registering for this ride, please review our ride classifications page to learn more about the ride classification indicated in the title of this ride.

Please note start time 8:30 AM and location Knob Hill Park

THIS WEEK'S RIDE:

Knob Hill Park to Sewickley Hills

This weeks route has some nice rollers, climbs, and flats. We have a nice descent down Conway Wallrose Road to Big Sewickley Creek Road, we then continue our way thru Bell Acres and Sewickley Hills. The return north takes us up Hoenig Road, thru Recreation Park, and ending with a climb up Innovation Drive to get back to the start. We will regroup about one hour in at Linbrook Park (11 miles) for a quick nutrition stop. The mid-ride rest stop is at Acorn Park (18 miles). We can stop to purchase water, etc. at Doscher's Market which is just past Conway Wallrose on the way back to Hoenig (about 22 miles in).
