Back in the Park Ride 12/Moderate/20

 

Welcome to the Back in the Park Ride! (12mph)

This ride is for moderate level riders who want to attack some hills and burn some calories! The route will change occasionally but will be mostly in North Park. We wait at turns or major hills to re-group (for posted pace). 

All riders should come expecting to WAIT AT TURNS and at TOP OF HILLS.  Before registering for this ride, please review our ride classifications page to learn more about the ride classification indicated in the title of this ride.

About This Week's Route

Same ride as last week.

PLEASE NOTE: THE START TIME IS 8:30AM.

Since North Ridge is in bad shape, we're not going to ride the entire road. We'll just go up to the Softball Fields near the gate and hang a U-turn. Wouldn't want to miss climbing that hill!

Lake Shore Drive parking spaces, Ride 1/2 way around lake, Up N Ridge to softball field/gate, turn around, Down N Ridge, Brown past school to sharp left on Kummer, down Golf Club hill (Kummer), Up Walter, Down Walter. up McKinney to sharp right down Kummer (behind ice rink), 2nd 1/2 of lake (through construction), Up Golf Club Hill, Down Pigeon Hill to behind ice rink, 2nd time Up N Ridge to softball field/gate, turn around, Down N Ridge, Left on Pierce Mill, Right on Walter to contraflow lane back to parking spaces.

Start: NEW START DUE TO 'CUSTOMER PARKING ONLY' SIGNS AT PRO BIKE & RUN.
North Park - The parking spaces between the bike/walking path and Lake Shore Drive across from the restrooms near the Old Fire House. Go past Walter Rd park on the right before JC Stone football field.
Mileage:  22.5 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,906 ft
Restrooms: Start/End
